FAQ

How do you access mental health or substance use services at CORE Health?

To start mental health or substance abuse services at CORE Health you do not necessarily need a referral. Potential clients can contact our front desk to schedule the initial intake. We will first check insurance then look for an opening date to schedule your 90 minute intake. Once the initial intake is completed you will either be assigned a counselor at the time of your intake or a week after the intake has been completed.

Note: You may also request a referral from your school counselor.

What insurances do you take?

CORE Health accepts state insurance such as Molina, Amerigroup, United Healthcare, and Coordinated Care.

Can you pay out of pocket for services?

CORE Health currently accepts state insurance. If you choose to receive services with us and do not have state insurance we do offer services paid out of pocket with the option of a sliding scale. For more information on out of pocket cost contact our front desk staff.

Does CORE Health have a prescriber?

CORE Health partners with Telehealth prescribers as well as two onsite prescribers. In order to see one of our prescribers you must be in services with CORE Health and be seen twice by your mental health or substance use counselor. Clients should notify their counselor at time of intake if they are interested in receiving medication management through our prescribers.

Do you have to be a CORE Health client to participate in recreational activities at the youth center?

You do not have to be a CORE Health client to attend our recreational activities listed on our website. However, all youth who do wish to participate in activities must have a registration packet signed by their legal guardian.
